Nature blasted Phoenix, Arizona, with a massive dust storm 50 miles wide last night, moving across the area with winds up to 60 mph.
Power went out to thousands of customers, trees were blown down, and the Phoenix airport was shut down for at least an hour.
These type of storms are not unusual during the Arizona monsoon season, which typically starts in mid-June and lasts through Sept. 30.
Arizona Republic photographer Rob Schumacher shot this amazing photograph.
