There are so many great t-shirt designs out there we decided to start highlighting a few.

After all, not enough credit is given to the creative people who produce these works.

So, once a month (more or less), we'll put out a little video featuring some of the designs and designers we like. Here's the first six.

Correction: "Autumn Breeze" by Enkel Diko is mistakenly referred to as "Zebra" in the video. Our mistake, sorry.

Bamboo t-shirts are very popular, as they should be. They feel great, come in bright colors, and use bamboo as the raw material.

But, strictly speaking, bamboo t-shirts are not made of bamboo fiber. They are made of rayon derived from bamboo.

We wanted to explain more about bamboo t-shirts, and shed some light about what bamboo t-shirts are and are not.

Once a year thousands of volunteers around the world spend a few hours cleaning up the environment on International Coastal Cleanup Day. This year it was held on September 19.

We joined a local organization here in San Diego and lent a hand or two ourselves.

Under the leadership of Shannon Quigley from the San Diego River Park Foundation, over 100 people hit the river in Santee and pulled out tires, plastic bottles, paper, shopping carts, blankets, truck bed liners, even an old motor.

Enough trash was collected to fill two dumpsters.

Of the volunteers, a better group of people would be hard to find. Kids made up many of the group, and their enthusiasm was fun to see.

Although the International Coastal Cleanup Day is an annual event, the San Diego River Park Foundation sponsors many river cleanups during the year.

If you reside in San Diego, why not contact them and donate a few hours cleaning up? If you reside elsewhere, go to the Ocean Conservancy website and find the next event in your area.
